Running Kingsrow on an Android device
Kingsrow only runs on the Windows OS. But there are Windows emulator apps
that allow Windows programs to run in other environments. I don't have an
Android device to test it, but I received info from someone who successfully ran
his 64-bit version of 10x10 Kingsrow on an Android phone. Below are his
instructions for installation. The same process might also work for CheckerBoard
and Kingsrow for English and Italian checkers. If you are successful in running
CheckerBoard with Kingsrow on an Android device, please send me a note so I can
update this page.
1. Install Kingsrow on a Windows computer
2. Copy the Kingsrow's folder into the "Download" folder of your Phone
(Android)
4. Open it and you will be asked to download obb file, do it.
5. Then open Winlator.
6. Click on the "+" button to create a new container. Then you will
see some basic settings. You can only change the default screen size by
1024x768.
7. Validate setting and then press the 3 points on the bottom and click
"Run" and wait.
8. You will see 3 hard drives. Select the middle "D". You will see
the Kingsrow's folder. Put the White cursor on it, double-tap the screen =
double click and run Kingsrow.
9. To use the keyboard, tap on Return, touch of your Android, and you will
activate it on the left screen of Winlator.
